The Take A Hike Natural Bug Repellent System brings together the brand's best-selling outdoor products in convenient 3- or 4-piece combinations, giving you multiple ways to incorporate bug protection into your outdoor routine.

The collection is DEET-free and uses Andiroba Oil combined with a proprietary essential-oil blend featuring notes of citronella, lemon eucalyptus and cornmint. Instead of relying on just one product, the system is designed to layer products before heading outside and provide convenient options for touch-ups throughout the day.

Depending on the combination selected, the system may include the Take A Hike Soap Bar, Body Butter, Lotion Bar and Bug Repellent Spray.

Why Wander & Wake Chose It

This is one of those products that immediately made sense for us.

When you spend as much time outside as we do, bugs aren't an occasional inconvenience. They're part of campground evenings, sitting under the RV awning, nights around the campfire, hikes and warm days near the water.

How to Use the System

2. Apply the Take A Hike Body Butter after bathing.

Important Product Information

Use each product only as directed by the manufacturer and review the individual product ingredients and instructions before use. Essential oils and other botanical ingredients can cause sensitivity in some individuals.

I would NOT carry the supplier's “natural sun protection for up to 3 hours” claim into our Wander & Wake description. Unless the Body Butter and Spray are specifically tested/labeled as regulated sunscreen products with an established SPF, I don't want us presenting them to customers as sun protection.

I would also leave out the suggestion to add essential oils to candles unless the manufacturer provides specific safety instructions supporting that use.
